Revisions. Revisions. Revisions. I love them and hate them at the same time. Why do I love them? Well, there is this thrill of knowing you are making your book better than it was before. You are bringing it one step closer to the completely unattainable perfect, after all. And the closer you get, the better. Why hate them? Because never does perfect seem so far away.

In other words: revisions are hard but so much fun.

In the past days I’ve been working on both major revisions and line edits in VT. I’ve added scenes, took scenes away, meshed together a few scenes, edited out a character, added 2 more, and shuddered over my terrible grammar.

VT is so much better than it was before. It still needs work. It probably will forever. But it is so much better and I’m such a happy momma. ;)

Don’t get discouraged while revising. Even if you have to completely rewrite the novel. This feeling is a wonderful one and you deserve it.
